P3 did their assembly today, we decided to tell the school about Bonfire Night. We’ve been working hard all week learning about Guy Fawkes, writing Firework poems and making up a bonfire song. Mrs C said we did so well that we could have a craft afternoon and make firework rockets! Well done P3!
Here is an acrostic poem we wrote as a class.
Fantastic fireworks whizzing in the sky
I heard a crackle, bang, fizz, pop and zoom
Rotating rockets leaving the ground
Everyone puts Guy Fawkes on the bonfire
Wow! Fireworks whizzle and woosh in the dark night
Oooh! Aaah! gasp the watching crowd
Racing rockets reach for the stars
Kaboom!
Silver sparkles dance in the sky

Thank you Primary 3 for that brilliant assembly today. You reminded me to be very careful when I’m out watching the fireworks. My favourite part was hearing your Fireworks Acrostic poems.

hi class not forgot about you all ,been busy settling into my new school(Taylor Elementary school, feel free to check it out)y our firework rockets look great,America don’t celebrate bonfire night, but i do get thanksgiving which is a bit like xmas without the presents,get 4 days holiday,yippee will keep in touch on the blog.love keir x

Your assembaly was really good , i bet most of you were a bit nervous before the assembaly.
I hope you all like mrs crearer i always heard that she was a good teacher.
I saw your fireworks they look great! Did mrs crearer show you how to dod them , shes very good at art!

Primary 3, I’m really impressed with your poetry skills! You use alliteration really well to make a very descriptive, engaging and fun poem!
